Printed Media on his return!
Digital publishing is gaining ground. This according to a research conducted by Gfk MRI. The range of digital versions on tablets, e-books and smartphones rise by a quarter (24%). The vast majority of printed media (63%) saw their readership shrink.
This research is the second that Gfk MRI performs including digital editions. The research is based on digital editions which are (almost) the same as the printed editions.
For example there is Reader's Digest. Reader's Digest currently has 98,000 digital readers. The President of Reader's Digest says that he expects that paid digital subs for the RD brand in the US will likely be larger than newsstand on an average monthly basis by years end.
A number of other impressive figures are those of Time's, with a range of 285,000 digital editions and Newsweek with a range of up to 396,000 digital editions!
